All of our support workers/carers are trained to a very high and professional standard. It is an advantage to have the following qualifications and qualities in our carer’s, but not essential as full training and enrollment onto NVQ`s will be given.
- NVQ2 or above, which is the same as 5 GCSEs at A-C
- Experience in taking care of someone
- A caring attitude and personality
- Emergency and first aid
- You must have good communication skills

Once we have recruited a support worker/carer, we take them through the following 3-day intensive induction and practical training course which covers the following areas:
- The company
- Our policies and administration procedures
- Our policies and administration procedures
- Carer-client boundaries and good practices
- Health and safety
- Medication administration and its importance
- Manual handling
- Food hygiene and infection control
- Effective communication
